Zion Williamson Injury: Questionable for Sunday's Playoff Game

New Orleans Pelicans Star Forward Sidelined with Finger Contusion

Pelicans Head Coach Willie Green Addresses Media After Thursday's Victory

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson has suffered a left finger contusion and is listed as questionable for Sunday's playoff game against the Phoenix Suns.

Williamson left Thursday's 135-123 win over the Sacramento Kings with the injury. Head coach Willie Green told reporters after the game that Williamson's status for Sunday is uncertain.

"He's got a finger contusion," Green said. "We'll see how he responds tomorrow and the next day, but he's questionable for Sunday."

Williamson has been plagued by injuries throughout his career. He missed the entire 2021-22 season with a foot injury and has been limited to just 29 games this season.

The Pelicans are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They will face the third-seeded Suns in the first round of the playoffs.

If Williamson is unable to play on Sunday, it would be a major blow to the Pelicans' chances of advancing in the playoffs.
